Church Planting Movements

On Church Planting we are always looking for ideas to pass along to you. This video talks about the characteristics of Church Planting movements. The video is very well done and is worth the 12:40 seconds it takes to watch.

From 1995 to 2005 we were involved in a very similar process in Cuba. We decided in the beginning of our trips that the best thing we could do was to meet and train perspective leaders. We gave them the tools they needed through a series of seminars and one on one training, prayer and encouragement, and releasing them to do the stuff. This approach allowed us to see twenty churches get planted in that 10 year period. This was amazing considering the oppressive nature of the government in regard to to the church. Watching God move was the experience of a lifetime. We would do short term trips, usually 7 - 10 days. This also allowed us to incorporate a lot of our church people in the process who might not otherwise have the the time to be involved in missions. I hope you enjoy the video.
